Marriage License states:

Know all men by these presents, that we, John B. C. Wilson and Thomas ? Jones are bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky, in the sum of fifty pounds current money, to be paid to the said Commonwealth, for which payment to be mad, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by thes presents -- dated the 26th day of September 1849.

The condition of the above obligation is, that whereas there is a Marriage about to be solemnized between John B. C. Wilson and Amanda Malvina Sims by virtue of a license from the Clerk of Christian County Court -- now if there is no lawful cause to obstruct said Marriage, then the above obligation to be void, otherwise remain in force. This is to certify, that on the 27th day of September 1849 I joined in Marriage John B. C. Wilson and Amanda Malvina Sims by virtue of a license, from the Clerk of the Christian County Court.  Given under my hand as a minister of the Gospel. 28th day of September 1984. signed Enoch A. Brown.
