Ida F. Addington (Thompson)
Ida F. Thompson was born on 7 November 1866 in Indiana.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph J. Thompson and Serilda Jane Rhoads.² Ida F. Thompson married William Samuel Addington, son of Davis Amos Addington and Eliza Ellen Cain, on 13 December 1885 in Warrick County, Indiana.^3,4 Ida F. Thompson died on 19 September 1967 in 1308 Cumberland Avenue, Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana, at age 100.^5,6

She was buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Warrick County, Indiana.⁷

Her Social Security Number was 311-54-7006. At one time lived in Wadesville, Posey County, Indiana. Her married name was Addington. She lived with Roy Addington, her son, for at least 10 years before her death. The following information is from "Addington Family Waltzing Through the Years": Ida was the daughter of Serilda Thompson, a widow, who lived on a farm about three miles south and west of the Addington home place. Ida had two brothers, James and William tah one sister, Esther. After Samuel and Ida married, Samuel took over as the man of the house, worked the farm and helped rear Ida's brothers and sisters. Serilda Thompson married again to an Arnold, and moved away from the farm. After all of her children were married, and her second husband died, she returned to the farm with Samuel and Ida.⁸ She appeared on the census of 1870 in the household of Joseph J. Thompson and Serilda Jane Rhoads in Boon Township, Warrick County, Indiana,

William Samuel Addington
William Samuel Addington was born on 7 November 1864 in Indiana.^1,2 He was the son of Davis Amos Addington and Eliza Ellen Cain.³ William Samuel Addington married Ida F. Thompson, daughter of Joseph J. Thompson and Serilda Jane Rhoads, on 13 December 1885 in Warrick County, Indiana.^4,5 William Samuel Addington died circa 1943.⁶
