              Susannah Simpson Tombstone in the Gray and Thackery Cemetery, Wayne County, Illinois
                   Susannah Simpson was born on 2 September 1802 in Henry County, Virginia.2,3,4,5 She was the daughter of William Simpson and Elizabeth Cheshire.5 Susannah Simpson married Robert S. Gray on 28 July 1819 in White County, Illinois.6 Susannah Simpson died on 23 May 1873 at age 70.7

              She was buried after 23 May 1873 in Thackrey and Gray Cemetery, Barnhill Township, Wayne County, Illinois.7


                   She (an unknown value) in Burnt Prarie, Wayne County, 381614N0881539W. Susannah Simpson also went by the name of Sukey.5 Her married name was Gray. Susannah and Robert appeared on the census of 1820 in Wayne County, Illinois.8 Susannah and Robert appeared on the census of 1830 in Wayne County, Illinois.9 Susannah and Robert appeared on the census of 1840 in Wayne County, Illinois; Gray, Robert S., all white, males: one under 5, one 10 to 15, one 15 to 20, one 40 to 50, females: two under 5, one 5 to 10, one 10 to 15, one 15 to 20, one 30 to 40

                   Ethel A. Koster was born on 9 June 1893 in Junction, Gallatin County, Illinois.1,2,3 She was the daughter of Henry Koster.4 Ethel A. Koster married Mora M. Moore, son of John Logan Moore and Caroline Cheek, circa 1913.5

              Ethel A. Koster died on 13 January 1989 at age 95.1

              She is buried next to her husband Mora M. Moore in Leamington Cemetery, Gallatin County, Illinois.1


                   Her married name was Ethel A. Moore.5 In the 1920 census Mora and Ethel are living at Ethel's Father's home with their son Russel.3 As of circa 1987, Mora and Ethel lived on the original acreage purchased by his grandfather Russel Moore. However, Mora did not inherit his grandfather's land, but purchased it from a loan company. Two previous owners, Henry Koster (his Father-in-Law) and Hardy Barnett, had the land before Mora acquired it.5,6

              Jack E. Moore
                   Jack E. Moore was born on 1 March 1928. Jack was adopted. I am not sure who his biological parents were.1 He was the son of Mora M. Moore and Ethel A. Koster.2,3 Jack E. Moore died on 19 October 1989 at age 61.2

              He was buried in Leamington Cemetery, Gallatin County, Illinois.2

                   The following four paragraphs can be found in the book Gallatin County, IL - History and Families 1812 to 1988: Jack E. Moore, son of Mora M. and Ethel(Koster) Moore of Leamington, Illinois, graducated from Equality High School and attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Illinois. He worked with the Gallatin County Farm Bureau in Ridgway as County Organization Director and Insurance Agent. Jack was promoted to Branch Manager with the Western Insurance Compaines in 1969 to Lexington, Kentucky. He and his wife, Shirley A. (Morten) Moore, daughter of the late Frank (Shorty) and Alice (Hise) Morten of Galatia, Illinois, still live in Lexington.

              Jack and Shirley have four children, show were all born in Alton, Illinois, Deborrah Kay (27) married to Wm. O. Holton of Louisvill, Kentucky, John Stephen (25), Jeffery Eugene (21) married to Kimberly (Farris) Moore, and Sherri Lynn (19). Mr. Moore is now retired from the Kentucky Central Insurance Companies.

              Jack's mother was born and reared in Junction, Illinois and his father was born North of Equality, Illinois. They were farmers.

              Jack's wife, Shirley, was born West of Ridgway. She graduated from the Ridgway High School and was Society Editor of the Gallatin Democrat for 2 1/2 years in New Shawneetown.4
