William T. Sprinkle was born circa 1830 in Warrick County, Indiana. He was the son of Michael Sprinkle III and Patsey Sprinkle. William T. Sprinkle married Louisa Sovercool, daughter of Elizabeth Slaughter, on 3 February 1851 in Warrick County, Indiana. William T. Sprinkle died before 1890.

He was in the military service in the Civil War, as a Union Soldier, 44th IN Infantry.
